Carter has a rich history but that doesn’t mean that we are stuck in the past. Carter has always sought to expand and improve the way we do business. Each milestone on the Carter timeline is a marker of strategic thinking; a testament to our history of innovation. Carter is a time-tested brand that embraces the future.

Carter is first and foremost a team of strategic thinkers and problem solvers. We serve as a true partner to our customers, dedicated to streamlining their entire supply chain. Carter approaches every challenge as an opportunity, and quite literally, invents solutions to problems that customers may not even know they have. Carter Logistics’ strategic pairing with our sister company, Carter Express, allows us to leverage more customized solutions than our competitors. This focus on our customers’ results, along with Carter Express’ 800 tractors, 1600 trailers, and technology-driven crossdocks provide value that is unparalleled in logistics. Carter has the strength and global network to implement the solutions, to which our customers are accustomed.

At our very core, we are a family. Not only is Carter in its third generation of ownership and leadership, but Carter also operates as a family. From our long-standing open door policy to employee retention and community support, Carter understands the value of putting people first. In an industry where large corporate operations and younger companies can often feel faceless and cold, Carter stands apart as a company that is innovative and capable while retaining its Midwestern values.
