JOB TITLE: Toyota Account Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Carter team is growing quickly and we are looking for someone who can keep up with the pace. We are looking for a strong candidate who is a quick learner, who can work independently, and pays close attention to details. As a team, you will be accountable for managing customer relationships through many channels of the order process. You, along with the Toyota Account Manager will take complete ownership of the freight by creating and tracking orders, anticipating problems and providing creative solutions to exceed customer expectations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Retain working knowledge of Toyota’s transportation systems after initial training
Initiate contact with carriers and customers when appropriate
Facilitate complete and thorough communication between team, carriers and customers
Organize and track freight on an appropriate time schedule
Effectively communicate an escalate events through management channels
Compose office appropriate communication with carriers, suppliers and Toyota

Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist compiles, enters, posts, and reconciles payroll data, to maintain accurate payroll records at the working location of Carter Headquarters – Anderson, IN. The Specialist will assist employees with questions pertaining to company payroll policies and procedures. The Specialist may conduct investigations into problems, as well as reconcile payroll issues, concerning payroll payments, deductions, and taxes. The Specialist will work closely with finance to ensure the accuracy of the payroll/general ledger information. The Specialist will assist in identifying, evaluating, and implementing, process improvements.

Payroll Processing

Monitors assigned payroll activities and/or program components (e.g. County, State, and Federal agencies, tax laws, FMLA, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring compliance with established financial, legal and/or administrative requirements
Prepares a variety of payroll related documents (e.g., retirement plan transfers, ACH transfers, voluntary and involuntary contributions, W-2 controls, verification of employment and salary, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information
Records changes affecting net wages, for example exemptions, insurance coverage, and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll records
Compiles statistical and payroll data from a variety of sources (e.g. time sheets/payroll, salary adjustments, benefits etc.) for the purpose of providing summaries to other personnel, and/or ensuring compliance with established guidelines
Processes a wide variety of payroll documents and materials (e.g. time sheets, withholding information, employee contributions, leaves, supplements, stipends, etc.) for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties
Maintains a wide variety of payroll information (e.g. direct deposits, W-4s, PTO records, salary, levies, garnishments, retirement, voluntary and involuntary contributions, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines
Responds to inquiries regarding payroll procedures (e.g. wage levies and garnishments, direct deposits, etc.) for the purpose of providing appropriate action and/or complying with established fiscal guidelines
Confers with a variety of internal and external parties (e.g. employees, County/State/Federal agencies, vendors, banking institutions, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accurate payroll processing
Coordinates and interacts with federal and state agencies on issues pertaining to employee compensation and deductions
Researches discrepancies of payroll information and/or documentation (e.g. time sheets, PTO time, salary, supplements, stipends, FMLA, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to processing
Resolves discrepancies with payroll and/or benefit information and/or documentation (e.g. payroll, benefit providers, withholding versus W4, salary status, late hires, leaves of absence, separating employees, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accuracy of records and employee payments.
Prepares bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting for financials
Responds to inquiries regarding unemployment claim notices for the purpose of providing information to the agency regarding eligibility of benefits coverage
Participates in workshops, in-service trainings, etc. for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions
Prepares and issues direct deposits

Payroll Reconciliation

Reviews payroll and a variety of insurance-related information (e.g. payroll reports, FMLA, requirements, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accuracy of payroll and insurance records
Reviews, analyzes, and checks payroll reports for accuracy and makes necessary adjustments or corrections through journal entries or other established procedure
Reconciles payroll account balances (e.g. time sheets, direct deposits, wage attachments, benefits, voluntary and involuntary contributions, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining accurate account balances and complying with established guidelines
Reviews employee records and wage payment information for year-end reporting of W-2 and retirement reporting
Resolves discrepancies with wage payments and W-2 documentation and makes appropriate corrections as needed

Education

High school or equivalent degree required
Associates degree preferred

Work Experience

Minimum 1 year of Office experience working with Microsoft Excel
3 years of Payroll experience required

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Logistics Analyst, you will be responsible for managing customer data and ensuring freight is routed in the most cost effective manner. The applicant will be the primary advocate within the company for assigned customers to review transportation methods, cost, and optimization plans. The analyst will work directly with the customer, their supplier base, and internally within Carter to champion initiatives for that customer. You will need to anticipate and solve problems on a daily basis as well as provide effective communication to all necessary parties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyze customer shipping data to drive improvement and obtain optimum effectiveness
Build and review internal or customer key performance indicators, then act accordingly to drive efficiency
Present analytical findings to the client or Carter’s executive team
Maintain contact with customers to provide analysis and obtain feedback for improvement focus
Work closely with other Carter departments to initiate savings projects
Facilitate and lead customer on-boarding
Monitor Carter’s route network to increase truck efficiency
Track premium transportation through reporting to reduce future impact

Our average regional route has our drivers out for 2 to 3 nights per week. Miles vary between routes. Our management team, in Anderson, will share route details with interviewing driver applicants. Transportation Specialist 3rd Shift

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Carter team is growing quickly and we are looking for someone who can keep up with the pace. We are looking for a strong candidate who is a quick learner, who can work independently, and pays close attention to details. As a member of the customer service team, you will be accountable for managing customer relationships through many channels of the order process. You will take complete ownership of the freight by creating and tracking orders, anticipating problems and providing creative solutions to exceed customer expectations. This position will be located at our Anderson, IN location and base shift will be from 10 pm – 7 am (Tuesday-Friday), and 10am-6pm (Saturday).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Retain working knowledge of transportation systems after initial training

Facilitate complete and thorough communication between carriers and customers
Organize and track freight on an appropriate time schedule

JOB SUMMARY:

As a CI Specialist, you touch nearly every area and level of the organization. You will oversee and assist with both internal and external development efforts, playing major roles in new business and facility launches, while also acting as a project manager for multiple continuous improvement efforts. Continuous improvement efforts will range from a wide variety of activities that will create value for both Carter Express and our customers. The applicant will need to be highly organized, as they will be the focal point between different departments and will knowledgeably direct other individuals and ensure timelines are met to achieve objectives. You will need to anticipate and solve problems daily, as well as provide effective communication to all requisite parties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Act as internal project manager and drive continuous improvement initiatives in the workplace to improve efficiencies.
Generate improvement projects after witnessing shortcomings in our operations
Convert procedural developments into an instructional format that is easy to teach
Assist the Analyst Department and other internal departments as necessary
Travel to other Carter and Customer Locations to observe processes in a live environment or participate in new business launches.
Support managers and executives in other departments as necessary.
Direct daily, monthly, and yearly improvement based on key performance indicators
